Koromakawa Resort is on the east side of Ono Island 48 nautical miles south of Suva, the Capitol city of Fiji. The twenty acre property is bordered on one side by 400 acres of native land and on the other by a pristine marine reserve. The abundance of oceanic life means there have been occasional sightings of Pilot Whales, Dolphins, Hammerhead sharks and even Orcas near the Great Astrolabe Reef.

If you like Manta Rays, then we can almost guarantee you will be able to swim with them.   From the resort Manta Rays are just 5 minutes away by boat. Scuba tanks are not required.

There are extensive walking trails for you to explore the area during your stay.  We  also offer excursions to uninhabited nearby islands for a private picnic, bird viewing and snorkeling.  We can also arrange for you to visit an authentic local village or school that will expose you to true Fijian hospitality.

The Plunge Pool - Romantic, Sensual, perfect day or night.

Facing the Pacific Ocean the plunge pool is located on the deck of the Guest House.  Fed by water from a large artesian well.  The water is so pure it is not filtered nor are chemicals added to the continuous flow from the well. 

Enjoy the view and watch the water rise from the bottom of the pool and spill over rocks into the gardens below.  After enjoying the activities available, this is a perfect way to end the day or skip the activities and spend all day in the plunge pool with our staff attending to your needs.

There are no chemicals or loud filtration equipment noice because the water is pumped directly from the spring to the bottom of the pool via solar pump located in the spring.

Dining

International Cuisine, designed specifically for you.  Menus are tailored for your tastes!  We serve you when you want to be served. Choose from fine dining in your room, main house or at one of the several locations outside.

Menus at Koromakawa Resort are tailored for each customer. After discussing your likes and dislikes, the staff prepares the menus, just for you. Menus are different each day and are only repeated if requested. The cuisine is designed to make dining a pleasure, not a task.

Weddings

First time or renewing Marriage vows, Koromakawa can do it, for a very special wedding try Fijian style.  If you wish to tie the knot with authentic Fijian dress surrounded by Fijian Warriors and flowering gardens, Koromakawa has it and more.

Manta Rays

Manta Rays are just 5 minutes from our resort.  They are protected, but not restricted in any way.  To date all of our guests have seen them, snorkelled with them and amazed they were in water no deeper than 20 feet. 

Perfect for the whole family to enjoy no matter the age as long as a snorkel and mask will fit properly or if preferred just viewed from the boat.  Enjoy this beautiful creature and the picnic later on the uninhabited island nearby. 

Getting there

To get to Koro Makawa Resort from Nadi you will need to fly via Pacific Sun Airlines to Vunisea airstrip.  Our boat will be there to transport you to the resort.
