The colorful marketplace, located only a few minutes drive from the airport, features yaqona stalls, homemade souvenirs and local culture. Nadi town is perhaps the best place in Fiji to pick up souvenirs and there are good restaurants.
Nadi's attractions include accommodation of all kinds, restaurants, nightlife, duty free shopping, sightseeing tours and inter-island cruises. The town itself is small in comparison to the capital, Suva, but is still a bustling centre of business with many hotels dotted along its undulating coastal fringe, providing holiday makers with everything they desire.
The downtown area is defined by the Nadi River and Viseisei village on the west side, and the beautfiul Sri Siva Subramaniya temple on the east. It is the largest Hindu temple in the Southern hemisphere, and is a site for pilgrims.
The surrounding countryside is rolling and verdant, the beaches are relatively unpopulated, and the mountainous region (known as the Nausori Highlands) to the east is spectacular.
