The island's 174 acres are covered with lush tropical vegetation, surrounded by white sand beaches and encircled by vibrant coral reefs.

Castaway Island Resort offers individual thatched bure accommodation. Sleeping and living quarters are separate with the emphasis being on privacy and comfort.

Water's Edge Restaurant:
A magnificent starlit setting at the water's edge, with its large white umbrellas and sweeping view providing the ideal setting for Castaway dining. Covered breeze-conditioned dining in our "Bure ni Vutu", bure beside the vutu tree, is adjacent to our water's edge terrace. Open for Breakfast from 7.00am-10.00am, All day dining from 10.00am-5.00pm, Children's dinner 5.00pm-7.00pm, A la carte dining 6.30pm-10.00pm.

The Sundowner Bar: 
Open for drinks, gourmet pizzas and snacks from 11.00 am to 10.00 pm, with happy hour from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. During happy hour the Sundowner Bar is a child free environment.

Activities

Watersports equipment including windsurfers, catamaran sail boats, paddle boards, spyboards, snorkels, masks and fins are all available free of charge.

Or you can use the pool table, table tennis, and the 12 hole putt putt golf course. The tennis court is available or you can join in beach volleyball every afternoon.

Other activities where charges will apply included banana rides, island safaris with a picnic lunch, game fishing, night fishing, parasailing, jetskiing, scuba diving, snorkelling and waterskiing.

Castaway Island Fiji also features a PADI 5 Star Gold Palm Award Winning Dive Centre.

Massage:

Relax and pamper yourself with a traditional Fijian massage in the serenity of Bure "Lomani"  (Fijian for "pleasure") surrounded by tropical gardens. Also on offer are professional massage treatments with fragrant Fijian oils on the beach or in the privacy of your own bure.

Our formally trained masseuse will ease away your tensions with a mixture of traditional and aromatherapy techniques. Massages are booked through reception and due to heavy demand, you are encouraged to make your reservation early on in your stay to avoid disappointment.

Kids Club:

The Fijians' love of children is legendary and you can be assured your children will be well cared for by the Castaway family. The Kid's Club provides a complimentary service for all children 3 years of age and over from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, with a separate, supervised children's dinner hour from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm. The kids will enjoy a mixture of games and experience a definite Fiji flavour - loads of fun and entertainment.

Castaway is the perfect place to celebrate or reaffirm your marriage vows. Lovers of all ages choose to wed in a traditional and romantic South Pacific island style, while others renew their vows or honeymoon Castaway style.

Castaway Island Resort Room Information.

There are 66 thatched traditional Fijian style bures (bungalows), with a choice of beach front, ocean view or island setting.

All bures feature one king size bed and most include two additional single beds in their configuration, with those bures comfortably sleeping up to four persons. In the interests of maintaining the quality of the Castaway Island experience, policy is set to limit a maximum of four persons per bure (or up to ten persons in our one family beach bure).

Each traditionally thatched bure features a high vaulted "tapa" lined ceiling with overhead fans.  All bures feature quality island style furnishings, fabrics and linen.

All bures have a large ensuite bathroom including separate shower, toilet and vanity area complete with hairdryer and toiletries with a Fijian flair.

Island Bure: is configured with 1 King bed and 2 Single beds. Maximum room capacity is 4 adults or 4 adults and children.

Ocean View Bure: is configured with 1 King bed and 2 Single beds. Maximum room capacity is 4 adults or 4 adults and children.

Beach Bure: is configured with 1 King bed and 2 Single beds. Maximum room capacity is 4 adults or 4 adults and children.

Family Beach Bure: has 2 King beds and 6 Single beds and has a maximum room capacity of 10 adults and children.
