Musket Cove Island Resort

Malolo Lailai Island lies 15 kilometres west of Nadi in the Mamanuca Islands, Fiji. The island is approximately 240 hectares in size.

A Meet and greet service is available on request at Nadi Airport by Musket Cove Staff.
10 minutes by air - regular scheduled flights with Pacific Sun or 45 minutes on the Malolo Cat which operates a dedicated service three times daily between Port Denarau and Malolo Lailai. Complimentary coach transfers operate between Nadi airport/ hotels and Port Denarau for all Malolo Cat sailing times.

ACTIVITIES

This resort has one of the safest and most sheltered bays in the Mamanucas for indulging in the range of activities. Guests are provided with complimentary activities, which include windsurfing, kayaks, snorkelling trips and much more. For the more adventurous the resort has a full PADI dive base with resident instructors for those who wish to obtain dive certification. The surrounding coral reefs and nearby divesites also have a lot to offer the experienced diver.

Other activities available at reasonable rates include:
Hobie Cats, sports fishing, sunset cruise by yacht or launch, day trips to nearby island resorts or to the Yasawas, day sailing cruises and shopping excursions to the mainland by air or Malolo Cat. Yacht charters are also available.

You can also go hiking on Malolo Lailai Island to secluded beaches with a picnic basket. Across the bay at Plantation you can indulge in paraflying, or enjoy a game of golf (clubs/trundler available for hire).

RESTAURANT & BAR

The restaurant Dick's Place serves an extensive a la carte menu that includes a mix of international and indigenous cuisine, a delight for the most discerning palate.

Overlooking the lagoon, the Marina Coffee Cove is a wonderful relaxing venue for a modern cafe style meal, to chat over a cup of coffee or to enjoy the scenery.

Ratu Nemani Island Bar offers exotic cocktails while you watch the sun dip beneath the horizon and listen to the island string band.

Musket Cove Island Resort Room Information.

Musket Cove Resort features island style accommodation of traditional thatched bures and spacious villas that are set amongst coconut palms by the lagoon or on the white sandy beachfront.

Each unit is designed with the tropical surroundings in mind, providing ample space to relax and enjoy the island style life.

All accommodations have overhead fans, a bar fridge, outdoor furniture, hair dryers, in room safes and award winning shower amenities. Please note that age restrictions apply to some room catagories.

ARMSTRONG ISLAND VILLAS:

10 Villas each with two identical bedrooms and en-suite bathroom. Villas are nestled around the edge of the newly developed Armstrong Island. Beautifully landscaped gardens surround a central swimming pool and barbecue area, exclusively for the use of Armstrong Island guests.

Each of the bedrooms in the villa are air conditioned and equipped with a Californian King-size bed, which unzips to make two single beds if required, so four guests can be accommodated comfortably. Ideal for two couples, or a couple with two adult children travelling together or 4 single people.

Your villa features a lounge area with CD Player, telephone, TV/VCR and a kitchen equipped with 2 gas burner stove & microwave. Your lounge leads onto a large over-water balcony which is the ideal spot for that morning breakfast or pre-dinner aperitif.

The inland lagoon is home to numerous varieties of fish life which can be viewed from the private marina pontoon in front of each villa. Private boat access is available to each villa.

RESORT VILLA:

The 6 Resort Villas provide home away from home comfort. They contain 2 separate bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom. The upper bedroom contains a king-size bed and the lower bedroom contains 3 single beds. Ideal for up to five people. Each bedroom is fully airconditioned and also provides an overhead fan.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with a 2 gas burner stove, refrigerator & microwave.
The large open plan lounge and kitchen area opens onto an elevated lanai with a private spa pool, hammock and BBQ, perfect for enjoying the garden surroundings.

All villas have a TV/VCR and CD/Radio and telephone located in each lounge.

BEACHFRONT BURE:

There are 12 Beachfront Bures all with a king-size bed, 1 single bed and large en-suite bathroom. Ideally located on the beach perfect for a romantic holiday.

These bures are fan cooled and feature a CD/Radio, in-room safe, a breakfast bar which contains a toaster, crockery and cutlery, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a private verandah with deck furniture.

6 LAGOON BURES:

Each bure is light and spacious with a king-size bed, a single bed a sofa bed and large en-suite bathroom.

Each bure is spacious and comfortably furnished with Armchirs, coffee table and a breakfast bar which contains a toaster, crockery and cutlery, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Each bure is fan cooled and contains an in-room safe and a CD/Radio.

Each Lagoon bure has a private overwater balcony with outdoor furniture.

GARDEN BURE:

The 14 Garden bures are set in the resorts lush tropical gardens,looking onto the ocean. Located directly on a large lawn area, each bure has a CD/Radio and breakfast bar, which contains a toaster, crockery and cutlery, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

Each bure has a king-size bed plus 2 single beds and a large lounge area leading onto your private verandah.

AIR CONDITIONED HOTEL ROOM:

Located on the first floor of "Raintree House" a colonial style building with large open decks, surrounded by large raintrees. Each of the 6 rooms measures a spacious 38 square metres and can sleep up to 3 people.

They contain a private bathroom, chairs, tea and coffee making facilities, a king-size bed and a single bed. All rooms are fully airconditioned and are just a short walk to the resort beach.
