Oarsman's Bay Lodge - Accommodation Features

Set on one of the most stunning long white sandy beaches in the Yasawas and surrounded by palm trees and crystal clear waters, Oarsman?s Bay Lodge offers a warm and friendly ambiance and the ultimate in tranquility.

Welcome singers bearing refreshing glasses of fruit juice and smiles wait to greet every guest. Once you step ashore you are on "Bula Time" - there is no rush, no hassle, just relaxation.

Unlike many other Fijian resorts, this intimate and affordable property is owned and operated by the locals. Oarsman's is owned by the Natia Mataqali, who are the traditional landowners of the area on which the resort is situated. Ratu Epeli, the Managing Director of Oarsman's Bay Lodge, is the Chief of the Yavusa (tribe) and thus the Tui Drola or high chief of this tikina (district).

Whether kicking back in the outdoor restaurant and bar, relaxing in one of the many hammocks scattered along the beach, enjoying a game of volleyball with wonderful Fijian staff or visiting a local Fijian village, you'll be hard pressed to find a more idyllic and breathtakingly beautiful location to wile away your time.

Children are very welcome at Oarsman's Bay Lodge. Babysitting is available at a modest cost. There is no formal children's club and no children's menu.

DINING

Oarsman?s Bay Lodge is licensed with an open air restaurant & bar set right on the beach boasting impressive views of the finest Yasawa waters. Fresh food is delivered daily with a mix of international and Fijian cuisine.

Reasonably priced meal packages which include breakfast, lunch and dinner are available, payable directly to Oarsman's Bay Lodge by the guests. All meals are based on a set menu and at set meal times but the staff will be happy to accommodate for any special dietary needs.

Snacks are available at the bar and most days, fresh baking is available at Afternoon Tea time.

Oarsman's Bay Lodge has a very social bar area which has a full stock of local beer, wine and cocktails for purchase.
