Just a 10 minute cruise off the Fijian mainland, surrounded by crystal-clear, turquoise water, wafted by soft sea breezes with beautiful sunsets, framed by palm trees - Dolphin Island Resort is truly heaven.

Traditional Fijian warmth and hospitality is provided by host couple Stanley and Dawn Simpson. They will look after you as little or as much as you want ensuring a supply of delicious meals, drinks and cocktails are presented according to your taste.

They also have the local knowledge that is such a great help making the hard decisions in regard to your recreational pursuits.

Activities:

• Snorkeling equipment, kayaks and a Hobie Catamaran are all available for guest use within the tariff.
• Diving and snorkeling are two of Fiji's great highlights and the crystal clear waters and coral reefs surrounding Dolphin Island are a haven for extraordinary marine life. The resort works with top local operators to provide a wide range of activities.
• On your own, you can walk around the entire edge of the island at low tide, looking at the reef life and remains of ancient Fijian fishing pools.
• There is a lovely walking trail to follow and a sleep out room built on the other side of the island. You could picnic there or spend the night. There is also a nice sandy beach, with beach loungers for sunbathing before or after a refreshing dip.

Getting There:

Arriving at Nadi Airport you can take an easy 2 - 2.5 hour transfer by road following an interesting coastal route to Rakiraki, your embarkation point. Other transport options include helicopter and seaplane. Transfer by car and boat to Dolphin Island are included, however other options can be quoted on an individual basis.

Dolphin Island Resort Room Information.

On Dolphin Island there are two dwellings sitting side by side, both built using elements of traditional Fijian architecture and design. Elevated and enclosed by wide spacious verandahs these private villas catch the sea breezes and face the spectacular sunsets and sunrises.

Dolphin Island?s two very comfortable suites are furnished in traditional Fijian style and each features a beautiful tapa cloth, made especially for the property.

Both suites have a king-size bed that can be unzipped to create two twin beds - the bed linen and covers are 100 per cent cotton.

Other features include ceiling fans and air-conditioning, an upholstered day bed, writing table, mini-bar and tea/coffee making facilities.

Bathrooms include a shower and complimentary toiletries.

In addition to the suites there are two single beds, set on a loft in the dining bure ideal for accommodating children.

Both villas are air-conditioned for your comfort.

• One villa has been created for dining, relaxing and entertaining with a seamless flow between outdoors and indoors.
  
• The other villa contains two separate double suites with their own bathrooms for sleeping and resting.
