Nananu Beach & Dive Resort

Dramatically situated on the ridge of an isthmus of Nananu-I-Ra Island, Nananu Beach and Dive Resort boasts views of the exotic turquoise waters of Wainimolovo Bay on one side of the resort and the equally stunning waters of Lomanisue Bay on the other. 

Only a 15 minute boat ride from RakiRaki?s Ellington Wharf, you can explore beautiful sandy beaches and experience some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the world.

Dining

Meals at Nananu Beach will amaze you.  The cuisine is gourmet by any standard, prepared by Australian chefs and served at the resort?s hill-top restaurant in an atmosphere of casual elegance. You will savor the freshest seafood, Australian beef, New Zealand lamb and locally grown tropical fruits and vegetables, many from the resort's own gardens. Meals are hearty, healthy and the presentation is always stunning. Desserts are exquisitely decadent and should not be missed. A variety of wines from Australia and New Zealand, locally made rum and beer along with a selection of other fine spirits round out the bar.

Activities

• Beach picnics to one of the wild and exotic beaches of Nananu-i-ra only wish to emulate.
• A sunset cruise around Nananu-i-ra
• Deep sea fishing to where the big ones really are is available through a local charter company who offer the best in gear, boats and local knowledge.
• Snorkel direct from our private dock where you can experience the beauty of an intact coral reef for your pleasure only. All manner of beautiful fish and corals are here including anemones and their attendant clown fish (Nemo).
• Sea kayaks are easy to use and state of the art kayaks are free of charge. Kayak to another beach or to a new snorkel spot. Some adventurists will circumnavigate Nananu-i-ra (takes 2 hours).
• Go bushwalking throughout 560 acres of property including magnificent tropical rainforest with incredible views of forest and reef but also onward to Vanua Levu and Viti Levu.
• Hike along the beach or through the tropical forest. Day trips to villages, waterfalls, or even a sugar mill tour can be arranged.  Visit the burial site of Udre Udre- the last Fijian cannibal. 
• The resort has a tennis court with practice wall and basketball hoop.
• Take time to relax by our beautiful pool with a refreshing cocktail and take in the magnificent romantic sunsets on offer.
• Enjoy some of the best windsurfing on the planet. The best winds are from March through September and average 25-30 knots. (You will need to bring your own equipment.) 
• Enjoy a massage in the privacy of your bungalow.
• Enjoy a game of beach volleyball or horseshoes with friends and staff. 

Diving

Optional dive excursions can be arranged to the pristine waters of Vatu-I-Ra channel where you will be blown away with the abundant marine life and pristine dive sites. Unlimited shore diving is offered with all dive packages, and night  dives can be arranged at the resort.

Getting There

Getting to Nananu Beach and Dive Resort is undertaken via Ellington Wharf which is adjacent to Rakiraki on northern Viti Levu.

Ttransfer from the airport or your hotel in Nadi can be organised if required. The road trip is a scenic 2.5 hours along the King's road. Just notify us of your timings and we will do the rest.

If you are traveling by car from Suva or Nadi we offer free parking at 'Make it Happen', a local Fijian shop at Ellington Wharf.

Our boats will pick you up from Ellington Wharf for the 15 minute sea transfer to the Resort.

Nananu Beach & Dive Resort Room Information.

The accommodations at Nananu Beach and Dive Resort are a departure from the traditional rustic bures at some of Fiji?s other resorts. 

The 20 private bungalows are large and luxurious, positioned on a magnificent bluff with dramatic sunrise or sunset views. 

Each bungalow is elegantly furnished with rattan, bamboo and decorated with colorful splashes of fabric and works of art. 

Every bungalow is an air conditioned mini-suite with a fantastic granite lined bathroom, a king bed, a sitting room and a beautiful private outdoor courtyard shower.

They are tastefully lit to enhance the tropical atmosphere and make very clever use of huge panoramic windows. Bar fridges and tea/coffee making facilities round out the inclusions.
