The Wakaya Club is one of the world's finest tropical resorts, a private retreat that accomplishes an extraordinary combination - providing gracious living, sophisticated cuisine and unparalleled leisure opportunities in one of the most remote and pristine corners of the world.

Dining

The muffled beating of the "lali" drum heralds you for the sumptuous meals prepared by The Wakaya Club's resident chefs. Dinner is served in the "Palm Grove" dining pavilion and luncheon is served on the rambling deck, overlooking the lagoon.

Composed creatively, salads and grilled specialties highlight the midday cuisine and the beautifully presented dinners emphasize fresh seafood, local venison and organically grown vegetables and fruits from their own gardens. Wines are selected from France and Australia.

All meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are inclusive.

Snorkelling - Wakaya?s beauty extends far beyond its surface from soaring rocky cliffs to the depths of the azure Pacific, bursting with colorful living coral reefs and exotic aquatic creatures. Venture out in Wakaya?s glass-bottomed boat, or strap on a snorkel and fins to connect directly with this underwater beauty.

Golf - Try your hand on our challenging nine-hole golf course that snakes its way through a 19th Century coconut grove.

Fitness - For the health minded Wakaya Club has a well-equipped fitness bure including aerobic equipment and free weights.

Breeze Spa

Breeze is a couple's Spa replete with a body-temperature salt water serenity pool overlooking a pristine, azure lagoon on the private island of Wakaya.

Breeze is designed as the ultimate venue for restorative pampering. Highly skilled therapists will lead you to Nirvana during a three hour session.

Governor?s Bure (1 unit only)

This elegant hideaway is a secluded retreat equipped to provide every conceivable comfort. Located closest to Homestead Beach, the Governor's Bure is a stone's throw from the marina where scuba diving and fishing expeditions depart.

The Ambassador's Bure is the newest and largeat of the ten bures. This spacious 2 bedroom retreat is designed for a maximum of two couples or four people.

Full kitchen and dining area for up to six guests.

In addition to all the above attributes, the Ambassador's Bure has it's very own Spa. Two treatment rooms with a relaxation area which has a totally private Plunge/Water Shiatsu Pool Lanai.

Vale O

Vale O or 'House in the Clouds' is the island home of David and Jill Gilmour, owners of The Wakaya Club and Wakaya Island. The Villa is available to guests as a "limited edition" experience when the Gilmours are not in residence.

Overlooking the Koro Sea and Homestead Bay (the island's longest white sand beach), Vale O superbly melds western comfort with eastern serenity, showcasing the beauty of the island and the art and culture of the South Pacific.

Fully booked, The Wakaya Club can accommodate up to 12 couples, or a total of 24 guests, with nine couples lodged in the bures and up to three couples ensconced at Vale O.
