ACTIVITIES

There are many complimentary activities to enjoy at Maravu. And of course, you may prefer to relax in a hammock on your private verandah, or by the pool, or stroll down to Maravu's beach for some sunbathing, swimming or beachcombing.

The library offers a good selection of books about the Fijian culture, tropical flowers and also their bird and sea life. Maravu has a well equipped Gym and in the Spa you can enjoy Fijian massages and natural Body-wraps.

DINING

You are summoned by traditional drums to Gourmet lunch and dinner at the Wananavu Restaurant beside the pool.

There are Half board (breakfast & dinner) or Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner) meal plans available. Meals consist of a full cooked breakfast with hot dishes of your choice, a three course Gourmet lunch or packed lunch, afternoon tea/coffee with homemade cookies and a three course Gourmet dinner.

All dietary requirements are catered for. Every week guests are invited to a Fijian meke (traditional dances) and Lovo feast where the speciality food is cooked in an underground oven.

After the sunset, you may want to join in with the Maravu Band Boys, sitting around the kava bowl, sharing the ceremonial drink, made from pepper root and serenading beautiful Fijian melodies.

Sleep on a king-size bed covered by a white mosquito net canopy. Comfortable bathrooms are standard, as is the minibar.

In the Honeymoon Bures, Honeymoon Deluxe Suites and Oceanview Spa Villas, there is an outdoor shower in a secluded setting next to the private sun deck and a Jacuzzi.

Each bure is well-appointed, and beautifully decorated with Fijian artwork and paintings. And, wherever you look, flowers are spread out in their full bloom, liberally adorning your tropical home.

The bures are spaced apart on the 90 acre resort, so feel the privacy around you as you relax in the hammock on the verandah.

All Bures have air-conditioning and ceiling fans (except the Planters Bures which have no air-conditioning but both ceiling fans and floor fans), fully stocked minibar with water, softdrinks, beers, white and red wine, champagne, chocolate bars and chips. Maravu provides all bath amenities such as hand-crafted coconut soaps, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, cotton pads and bathrobes.

The Planters Bures are four Bures in two Duplex Units.

The rooms are completely separate with own entrance, verandah, bathroom and just one joining wall. The Duplex units have an interconnecting facility, which is ideal for a family with children having their own room. The maximum occupancy for each Bure is 3 adults or 2 adults with two children under 12 years. Garden view. Distance to the private Maravu Beach is 5 walking minutes.

Three of our Bures are Deluxe Bures.

Each Bure has a private outdoor shower and Jacuzzi. This Bure type has both an inside and an outside shower and in addition to the sun deck a covered verandah. The outdoor furniture consists of Mahogany pool beds, chairs and tables. The Deluxe Bures are air-conditioned. The maximum occupancy for this Bure is 3 adults or 2 adults with two children under 12 years. One of the three Deluxe Bures has partial Ocean-view while two have Garden-view. Distance to the private Maravu Beach is 3 walking minutes.

Another five Bures are Honeymoon Bures

Honeymoon Bures feature a private stone walled courtyard containing an outside shower and a Jacuzzi. This Bure type is air-conditioned and has both an inside and an outside shower and in addition to the sun deck a covered verandah. The outdoor furniture consists of Mahogany pool beds, chairs and tables. The maximum occupancy for this Bure is 2 adults. All Honeymoon Bures have partial Ocean-view. Distance to the private Maravu Beach is 3 walking minutes.

The top Bures are the Honeymoon Deluxe Suites and Oceanview Spa Villas.

Four Honeymoon Deluxe Suites with two rooms each, one sitting/lounging room and one sleeping room. The private open-air courtyard contains an outside shower, a sun deck and a large Jacuzzi Pool with waterfall. The verandah consists of a covered terrace and a large open sun deck. The outdoor furniture features Mahogany pool beds, chairs and tables. All Suites have air-conditioning. The maximum occupancy for this Bure is 2 adults. Three of the Honeymoon Suites have partial Ocean-view and one has Garden-view, but in addition to the outside shower an inside shower and a separate toilet. Distance to the private Maravu Beach is 4 walking minutes.

The rate for this category includes a Honeymoon Package: a bottle of champagne, fruit basket, Sulus (Fijian skirts), poolside/garden candlelight dinner, excursion to romantic Honeymoon Island and a half day trip to tropical Tavoro Waterfalls in Bouma National Heritage Park.

Four Oceanview Spa Villas with two rooms each, one sitting/lounging room and one sleeping room. The private open-air courtyard contains an outside shower, a large sun deck and a spacious Jacuzzi Pool with waterfall. The verandah consists of a covered terrace and extensive open sun decks. The Villas feature in addition to the outside shower an inside shower and a separate toilet. All Oceanview Villas have air-conditioning. The outdoor furniture features Mahogany pool beds, chairs and tables. Three Villa have magnificent 180 degrees Sea-views and one has both Ocean-view and Garden-view. The maximum occupancy for this Bure is 2 adults.

The rate for the Oceanview Spa Villa includes a Spa Package consisting of two Maravu bath robes, two Maravu Massages (25 minutes each), two traditional Fijian scalp massages (15 minutes each) and two Pure Fiji body scrubs (25 minutes each).

The Honeymoon Package and The Spa Package are available for the other categories at extra cost.
